I have a motorola g51 5g phone and calls are all great! However, when I use it to play music, some songs are badly distorted. I initially thought that it was the fact that I had converted to mp3 and put up with it, However. I loaded a new song last night and it, too was breaking up badly like overdriving the speakers/headphones. I decided to look at the source file on my laptop and it is clear as a bell with the SAME in ears that I used to test the phone. I use different in ear phones from time to time and all are bad on the phone but great elsewhere. so, my question is. What could be driving the output to distortion, I've even turned the output volume way down on the phone and it is still there!

Thanks, I forgot all about that. Turns out that EQ on VLC was up the spout! FWIW My phone did not have some of the settings mentioned in that link!
