    Default EBSPro v18.0.0.2 custom Pattern Transponder ini help

    I am using the latest EBSPro v 18.0.0.2 and normally output the transponder ini file as dvbdream format which is typical example 4=4102,H,5722,34,S2,8PSK
    When using custom formats they only affect Alt and Trans format selection.
    However these will output like this 4=4102,H,5722,34,2 ;-57 dBm, 8.4 dB [2024-06-27 14.46.10]
    Note that I cannot find a way to have S2, 8PSK in the custom format for dvbdream. i,e a dvbdream format with an SNR, DATE comment.

    Is there a way beside a long winded manual edit.

    Cheers

    The latest EBSpro is 18.04 try that? but i did notice similar issues that the ini format it produces differs from the dvbdream format. DVBdream also has bugs with adding t.p that use mis (even dvbdream 3.82) has the same bugs,

    DVB Dream does have its own blindscan mode, I tend to use that rather than save and export from EBS. Although that too is also pretty flakey

    Yes I found EBSPro v 18.0.0.4 but not 18.04 Found same issue with 18.0.0.4
    I believe now that support for both EBSpro and Dvbdream is no longer by the authors. Is that true ?

    18.0.04 18.04 whatever its the same thing

    2 Different authors for DVBdream and Ebs. I have talked to @Cjcr07 (ebspro) on Twitter he's one of my followers. If you have any sort of bug list or an issue write it up, and let him know about it. Or I can pass them on to him.

    Hi, re ebspro I did send an email to support@ebspro.cjcr-soft.com but no reply.
    Appreciate if you can swing this issue to him via twitter. (I don't have/use twitter)

    I am using v 18.0.0.4

    Custom pattern transponder ini format.

    I use the dvbdream program so I use the dvbdream selection when saving the transponder ini file which gives this format
    4=4102,H,5722,34,S2,8PSK
    Note, the specific mention of S1 8PSK which I prefer as does dvbdream. This does not occur in any other format selection or custom format.

    All custom formats only apply to alt or trans "save as" selection giving typically
    4=4102,H,5722,34,2 ;-57 dBm, 8.4 dB [2024-06-27 14.46.10]

    I cannot find a way to add as a comment to the full dvbdream format with SNR & DATE as a comment.

    Appreciate if there is a solution or a possible fix.

    Cheers Mike.

    For the First time I bough a ligit DVB Dream 3.7.2 and its not worth a Cu..t full of Cold water. I has plenty of BUGS. Forget Crazy Cat he never replied on my request on a newer version of StreamReader. Now I got the Latest and the Last of Smart DVB the 2019 version and It works a zillion NO Bugs and it just works using on plenty of Sats. Also have plenty of Features that DvB Dream does not have. I use TBS 6904 SE on Smart DVB and its Great, Also use the 4 ports on it as I had plenty of DiSEqC issues with DVB Useless Dream that crashes what ever you use it. DVB Dream 3.7.1 has less issue but I was told it does not reconise TBS 6904 SE which I found later was RUBBISH $$$$$ so had to get the latest DVB Dream. Pufffff Rubbish

    Have you actually tried blindscan mode in dvb dream itself?

    The main bug for me in DVB Dream 3.7.2 is performance on 16APSK. It won't lock them at all. Now here the crazy part. If you run crazyscan and lock it there then after closing crazyscan. DVB Dream will now see them. The same goes for EBS as well.

    There even reference to the issue here

    Interesting, I was unaware of that. I have just ran ebspro blind scan in dvbdream format scanning every satellite on C-Band from 66E to 177W with a footprint my way using my 3.7M dish and find no 16APSK transponders.
    I assume then, you may be looking at feeds or specific channels on KL/Ku Band for which I rarely look at, bar the common sat TV on my Vu_Duo2 receiver.
    Dvbdream is only being used here on C-Band currently.

    My main aim of the initial problem was with the format to include the SNR within the dvbdream ini files. Were you able to relay this to the author of ebspro on tiktok ?

    Regards Mike

    The 16 APSK i refer to are the ones on abc/sbs t.p on D2 and Eutelsat 172B

    Need to lock them via crazy scan before ebs and dvb dream will even display them

    you could check streamreader.ini in the dvbdream folder , there are defaults there relating to various settings including SNR. But i've never played much with those settings the blindscan directly in DVb Dream shows SNR as 0. Might need to be enabled specific to the card in use.

    stuff like
    ; ! EXPERIMENTAL ! Direct hardware control
    HWControl=1
    ;! Voltage boost (+1V)
    VoltBoost=1
    ;! Force High voltage before Diseqc cmd
    DiSEqCHV=1
    ;! Tuner IC autocontrol from demod
    ;FastTune=1
    ;! RFScan delay after set tuner (in ms)
    ;Delay=5
    ;! Tuner base-band gain
    ;BBGain=10
    ;! RFScan mode. 0 - raw AGC integrator values, 1 - dB (default)
    ;RFScan=0
    ;! RFLevel type. 0 - dBm(default), 1 - dBmV, 2 - dBµV
    ;RFLevel=1
    ;AGCIQBeta=0
    ;DSS=1
    ;TrickAPSK=1
    ;FrameMode=1
    ;ForceAccept=1
    ;DemodMode=1
    ;ACM=0
    ;RFSource=1

    You can do the blindscan in ebs via its own streamreader save the satelllites .ini file. Then do the same via a scan in ebspro save the ini in ebspro and compare the 2 formats...

    ebspro i think is the culprit, the dvbdream save mode isn't quite as it should be. But i only checked that years ago. I don't know if the 3.72 version changed anything

    Tell me what version of Crazy Scan you are using? Does this scan pick up spectrum on non DVB streams.
    thanks

    Hi, I am a little confused by the 2 different scans in ebspro above. Do you mean streamreader in dvbdream v blind scan of ebspro ?
    Did you pass the issue onto Cjcr07 re dvbdream format + SNR not being possible with current options.

    Cheers

    Can Smart DVB run plugins for Power Vu decryption and VPlug for logging EMM stream etc OR is it just basic receiver software?

    Cheers

    Nothing in the latest Streamreader.ini of dvbdream 2.7.1 re SNR specific after doing a search of the file.
    Most of the file is commented out as well.
    Ive compared with streamreader.ini in ebspro to and nothing in the ebspro one regarding SNR.

    Streamreader.dll is dated 14/01/2024 for both programs.

    Cheers

    Yes got Vplug working on Smart DVB (BI$$) I have not tried it for Power Vu but I remember after doing some reading you have to take a file out otherwise Powervu wont work (PS it clashes). I just got Smart DVB going not long ago It more friendy for feed hunters. HATE CONSISTENT CRASHES THAT DVB DREAM was giving me maybe because I'm using a TBS 6904SE Card
    Have not tried to capture the streams for Power vu BUT I DO KNOW I send a sample of the stream for power vu to mods on Sat Universe and they sent the reply back to me (a photo) and both of them was using SMART DVB not DVB Dream. That enough said, if the Mods the Brains of Sat Uni are using Smart DVB that's enough for me.
    I think the photo is still there in the EMM streams for Intelsat 19

    Try Smart DVB, You have nothing too lose.
    I got the latest/last Smart DVB for Sat Universe but I did notice on the Photo the Mods that sent to me on the forum there had a slightly later version then me. They must have sourced it elsewhere.

    Blindscan your satellite in EBSpro, then save the resulting .ini file on your desktop, rename it ebspro.ini

    Then go into dvbdreams OWN blindscan mode do the same scan and save the resulting ini file onto your desktop

    now open both ini files in notepad and compare. They will different, as when saved in ebspro's DVB dream ini format. Its different to the actual format dvbdream saves in its own ini

    The only issue I find with Smart DVB is any option you need including transponder and blind scanning it take 3 to 4 seconds before it changes. I have Smart DVB on two out of 4 computers (one has TBS 6904 SE and the other has TBS 6982 i think) and both are i7 with GPU 3080 and 3090ti and the both are the same when it come for 3 to 4 second delay before it wakes up. Have not checked for a option to make ir faster. The Version I have is 0.5.3.26 (X64) when it come with option it has around double what DVB Dream has.
    Once again you only need to try it, that it.

    WOW IQmonitor Pro 1.0.2.0 is above my old stroke ridden pay grade but I will download it and spend 6 months to understand it. It will be good if it find new Transponder that are non DVB Compliant
