    Default universal remote for vu duo

    just checking to see if anyone has a recomendation for a universal remote that will
    work with a vu. i know the logitech harmonys do but they are discontinued now
    so hoping there is another alternative around otherwise ill have to grab a genuine vu one

    for everything IE : tv -- amp -- vu -- etc so one button turns everything on and off
    and volume plus channel change etc. I ask because my harmony 650 is playing up a bit
    so looking to have something encase it dies

    There's universals listed as well that work with the vu, so challenge would be if those remotes work with your other gear...

    Have you pulled it apart? Clean the board with isopropyl...then take the rubber button sheet and place it on a blank piece of A4 paper. Press a button and gently slide it on the paper for a bit. This will act as an extremely fine abrasive.

    I have rejuvinated Harmony's before this way.
    The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

    thanks for the tip , i havent tried that yet but will give it a go.

    was also lucky found a brand new 650 still in packaging in brissy
    for $50 on market place so had family member grab it for me.
