Put a copy of explorer.exe from your computer c:windows directory onto the root directory of the SD card - The Binatone looks for this first before looking for the navigation software. This should allow you to install IGO etc from the cab files on the SD card.

If it doesn't find explorer.exe on the root file of the SD it will initiate its start up then look for SD/Mobile navigator/Mobilenavigator.exe when you select navigator on the menu and if it doesn't find that it will then default to Mobile navigator/Mobilenavigator.exe in the onboard memory.

Hi Dogs Thanks for the info . Explorer.exe is .98 gig in size and I have a 1gig SD card. This means That I have to use a 2gig card as a minimum.

The explorer.exe I used off vista was only about 3MB?
    c:/windows/explorer.exe

I used explorer from xppro and placed it on a 2gig card. Managed to get it to work but find that I only get 3/4 of a screen filled missing other third. I was told that the x430 had a 480_272 res but this does not seem to be right.
    Any further suggestions.

I don't have the binatone anymore but if you read this thread and follow the general advice people gave me you should be able to get it working.

There is a text file with setup parameters that you may have to change to suit the 430's resolution
