Default How to remove DAS DL250 safely?

I have a DAS DL250 alarm system (came from the house I bought many years ago). I don't know the master code and not sure if it's working or not.
But because I'm leasing out the property and want to prevent tenant from complaining, I would like to remove it. Any advice on how to remove it safely?

Turn off the AC power to it and disconnec tthe battery.

It will be dead, but can be turned back on if wanted in the future or upgraded to something modern

Is there a way to safely remove the whole panel from the wall? or somehow seal it off?

According to tenancy law, anything in the property must be in working order. I don't want to get it fixed as it's too old.

If the wiring is in decent nick, you could get a new system retrofitted instead using the existing cabling.

Otherwise, you can disable the panel as already suggested. Most devices attached to the alarm will receive their power from the panel itself. Then take out all the detectors, keypads, sirens, etc. (just be careful if any sounders have their own battery backup as taking them off the wall could cause them to sound their own tamper alarm) and cover the holes. Leaving the cabling may let you retrofit a new system later, otherwise you can throw in a wireless system if desired.

Just make sure your insurer knows you've disabled the alarm if you've used it to lower your premiums or anything like that.
