Is a slower computer recommended for logging? Also what is the recommended windows for logging?

I had good results with Mlog and the Nokia9500 via scuzi with windows 98SE for the old irdeto1 days but have found logging with the dreambox much better , straight to any PC with XP , I reckon the faster the better, more ram the better coz sometimes logfiles espeacially big ones hang and bugger up. But a fast PC is not 100% nessacary.. Up to end user.

Thanks for the reply streeter75. I will pull the spare computer out on the weekend and have a play around. I have a season interface and my unit is a humas 5400z. I put the season into the unit and card into the season. Then I connect the cable from the season to the pc. Is this right?
What is the recommended software to use for logging IRD1?
I want to give it a try this weekend.
