The machine does not seem to have any lag as yet. I had to take it off "Power Saving Mode" which bought the brightness up to a proper level. I don't seem to have any lag due to the LAN connection.

Have not encountered and stuttering as yet although have not really looked at any fast moving sports as yet.

I do appreciate that this sounds silly - however it really is a "BIG" tv and does take up a lot of real estate on the wall !

All in all - a very solid TV for the price IMO and certainly worth checking out if you are looking for a decent TV without the big bucks of the leading brands.

    Have a great day,

I still havent found anything to complain about I had a 75" tv prior to this so the transition up to 98" has been fine since day 1

I watch a lot of old shows MASH, Maverick, Gunsmoke, Rawhide and many Australian and British sitcoms and the 4K upscaling is fantastic.

Watched mostly car racing as sport goes and found no problems and the colors are really natural.

Have rewatched a few more movies in the native widescreen and Dolby Atmos 4K UHD which provided a completely different viewing experience

All in all very Happy. By the way does yours have 2 usb ports

    Cheers Thomo

I just had a look and my set has a USB on the right hand side of the TV as you are looking at it from the front.

Unfortunately, I did not check if there was a usb on the back where all the HDMI connections are - installer had the thing on the wall too quickly I am not game to try and move it off the wall.

Just a guess - I suspect that if there is an "optional" USB it would be the one on the side (ie remote to the motherboard) as I would have thought that the connections would all be soldered onto the motherboard and done in 1 go where as wiring a "remote" USB port might be a hassle. The manual says that the number of ports may vary.

I did find a TCL specifications sheet and that said 2 USB - 1 x USB 2 and 1 x USB 3. The side USB has a blue connector inside it - so I kind of hope that this is the USB 3 - mainly because there is now way I am going to be able to access the one on the back !!!

Yea Problem solved the installers found one where the HDMI cables etc are and yes there is another one on the right hand side that you alluded to which is available even when the tv is mounted on the wall "Another Plus"

    thanks mate

I've found that the 'ai' sound and video settings are a waste of time, better off setting up manually.

You will only need to use a usb to network adaptor (in the usb 3 port preferably) if you are streaming high bit rate 4k video from a nas etc.

Anything over 65mbps becomes problematic. The wifi isn't too bad on these, way better than my LG oled. Actually the only thing better on the LG is the panel.

If tcl bring out an oled, or something better, it's game over for the big names.

Yea I setup the video settings manually and I dont use the USB for anything. The 100mb network on the TCL seems to stream 4K ok but I do all my streaming from the Nvidia shield 100Mb network.

The TCL C755 I purchased has the QD-Mini LED panel and its fine

I use a shield (with vimu player) with my LG, because the media player is junk and can't be upgraded via app store.

Vimu works fine on the tcl (mainly for dolbyvision etc), although the media player plays most stuff fine.

My c755 panel is excellent, better than the lg in daylight and a third the price....

I built speakers with sub are excellent for a TV, although I use a separate sound system.

I doubt I'll buy another big name TV, especially if tcl bring out an oled.
