    Default good os with backup

    hi guys any one know of a good OS for a server that has a backup tool to backup up all pc on a network every day automatically or a program for xp that will do the same thing

    Thats a curious post.
    You want to back up "all pc" on a network ,do you mean the OS on each pc or the data?
    I would have thought the choice would be linux if it is only the data but it could be done to backup the system with it with a fairly simple "dd " copy in a script I suppose run regularly with "cron".

    Fairly straight forward with linux but no idea if xp could do it , seems like it should be able to though.

    hi tytower mm just i was using linux home server and that has a backup tool on it and all i had it backing up is my music and pics and my brothers music and pics and some programs but iv just setup my compaq ML570 proliant server but it want take linux iv chide there thing to work back it wont and i was just wanting to no if even windows server 2003 has a backup tool like that thanks

    hey guys sorry its taking me so long to reply but i found a program called Genie Backup Manager Pro 8.0 it dos the same thing as what Linux dos you can set when you want it to backup its grate thanks for your help guys.
