Gemini 4.01 image for the Dreambox DM500-C (cable) model.
You will need a null modem cable and DreamUP.exe
It comes pre-scanned and installed with CCcam 2.0.5.
Flash with dreamup, connect coax, insert sub card, PICS.
Enjoy!

I found this image works with Optus cable but not Foxtel. After doing a scan it worked with Foxtel cabel. Sound right?
sounds about right.... was scanned on optus.
Well at least that re-assured me that the 500C's work with the subs - however i am a total noob, but a long time reader and 'think' i know how to set these things up.. i'm curious where i can actually obtain one of these boxes from?
no new ones have been available here in oz for ever, are still available o/s if you look for them
most of the clone ones dont have a tuner in them that's as good as the originals, most people have to use a cable amp to get all the channels
I must admit it's been a while since I had one, perhaps the newer clones have stronger tuners...which is good cause having to also hook up a cable amp was a PITA
True, have had many clone cable dreams and none needed a amp.
Off topic but.. can a cable dreambox can be a client to a sat CS dreambox ??
I am running a DM500c serving 5 sat clients runs really well.
I think the ID2 is still there as the little [I] is there in the EMU. I think they have just done something to the stream so the whities wont work.
