you generally only need to supply a left and right front signal to the amp.
it should have a 'bridge' mode switch, or you just use both + outputs for your sub. ie: connect one sub to the front left and rear left + terminals.
Hi all. I have here, 2x 200W subs and would like to run them, and as such, I will need to amplify them. I have a 4 channel 400W amp, a beltek MA-800A bridgable class-A amplifier. It has 4 inputs (front and rear L & R) and 4 outputs, in the form of 4 groups of + and - wires. It has a subwoofer on mode, and a low cut adjustment. Should I split the line out (L & R) from the head unit so that there are 2 right channels and 2 left channels going into the amp, using all inputs? And, can I join the front and rear outputs so one sub is front and rear left channel, and the other the right channel?
Thanks, all ideas appreciated.
Cheers, Mick.

Thanks Hoe. So it doesn't matter if the subs are getting front and rear signals, as they have the same input?
i really dont think that setup is gonna sound any good....
how many rca outputs does ur headunit have?
okay this is how id be doing it
Your headunit should have rca outputs, hopefully two if not use a splitter or a highlevel to low level convertor.
Connect the outputs from your headunit to the input of your amp.
Run the subs on the bridge on the top set of terminals it should be like
+-+-
use the end + and the end - to power the sub
on the bottom set of terminals run it in a similar fashion
So you run one sub on the first two channels and the second sub on the last 2 channels.
My head unit has 2x RCA outputs, right and left. I was going to split both of these to make 2x right channels and 2x left channels, to fill up all the inputs on my amp. I would then use the front and rear right channel to power the right sub, and the left front and rear channel to power the left sub. I was asking as I thought this might freak out my amp.
no
that is only once RCA 1 red 1 white
if you had 2 RCA out put youd have 2 red and 2 white
yes you can split them but i wouldnt just use the right signal to drive the right sub. make sure you get left and right outputs into the left and right inputs of each channel in the amp
Ah, okay. But, why? Is it something to do with bridging?
