    Default Removing Pay TV cables?

I recently purchased a house whose previous owner(s) must have had Optus and Telstra cable TV.

I am left with the mess and want to get rid of all cable connecting from the street to the house (i.e. all the grey Optus boxes, Telstra isolator box, etc.)

Is Telstra/Optus removing these cables or can I call any cabler?

    Thanks & Regards
    Chris

    Chris,

You'll need to contact the provider who owns the equipment (Telstra/Optus)

It's not legal for anyone else to touch the 'network' side of things.

They'll charge you for the work.

what porkop said is correct we cannot charge you to remove cabling from your house if you do not have an active account with us. simply ring and ask them to remove

the only time you get charged is if your say renovating and the cable must be removed then reattached at a later stage.

    i work for optus btw
