    Default 32" Lcd

Can someone help me with this?

I just want a decent 32 LCD for home. Someone has told me that "full hd" is useless on a screen that size or smaller, so not to waste money on the 'full'

Is something like a Samsung ok? Or do I need to go for the Sony? I don't currently even have a Blu-Ray player..

Budget will be up to 1500-ish.

    Thanks

I have the Series 6 Samsung 32" and i am very happy with it. Looks great when playing Blu Rays, and has a built in HD tuner. Most new panels nowadays are coming in Full HD and its pretty much gonna be standard further down the line so why not, plus if or when you get Blu Ray YOU WILL notice it. I paid $1450.

the screen size usually does not give full HD. Most of these units are computer monitors sold as TV's with digital tuners built in. Sony is a waste of time & hey LCD is a waste of time. Some companies offer 32" plasma these days. none are great at this size. try an NEC 32" plasma for about $850 HD tuner and it looks reasonable.
Don't bother with bluray, it is a bag of hurt.

32" LCD HD TV $899 at Aldi

Does 1080p, has HD tuner built in, HDMI, blah blah blah, looks nice... does a heap of other things, but can't remember off top of head.

If i had the spare cash i would of bought a couple for the spare rooms. I saw them on Monday this week, so have a look, new specials start 13 Nov

1300$ for a LG/Samsung , Full HD, TV Tuner + a free xbox 360 at Dick Smith. Make sure you go to a powerhouse because they have a full range. Picked one up yesterday from Moore Park.
