liteon drive help

hi all, got my 360 back from ms after the rrod. they put in a new drive.
when i sent it to them it had a ms28 with modded firmware.

i look through the front hole and c yellow wires.
i assume this is a liteon drive now.

my question is: is there a way to find out if this is the newest liteon or one of the older ones that can be flashed without opening the console?

yellow wires = fubar, youll have too swap it out for another drive.
