    Default Yamaha RX-V463 Receiver

    Hey Guys got a Yamaha RX-V463 Receiver with a Yamaha Ipod Docking Station, have got everything Running in HDMI but when Select V-Aux/Ipod Audio works fine but get no Picture, Does it only come out of the amp on Component or Composite.?

    Whatever the output of the STB is is what I would expect the output of the amp to use which is the case with my Yamaha amp. But maybe the newer ones can do component to HDMI conversion so you can use the HDMI out? But I wouldn't expect so.

    Yeh i have it coming out from HDMI in the amp and have no picture the amp doesnt upscale and the instructions doesnt say if the Ipod Docking Station outputs Component or Composite i am assuming it will be Composite seems though its only an ipod but not at the tv now so might have to play around with it..

    Are you sure it supports video from Ipod and not only audio?

    This amp will not output composite or component inputs to hdmi.
    I am not sure if it will output component from composite.
    What happens if I press alt + F4?

    You willl need to plug in a composite output from the amp to the tv.
    What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

    Thanx mate will try that thought it might be the case will have to look and see if the ipod video output is on aswell i guess
