    Found this and it does indeed work well>

    If you run a CCcam server then run NewCS config as below and then just reshare it. No need to change client lines

    <device>
    <name>Phoenix Interface</name>
    <type>phoenix</type>
    <mhz>600</mhz>
    <node>/dev/ttyS1</node>
    <reset>normal</reset>
    <export>Yes</export>
    <enabled>Yes</enabled>
    <blocksa>No</blocksa>
    <blockua>No</blockua>
    <blockga>No</blockga>
    <blockc0>No</blockc0>
    <irdetomode>0</irdetomode>
    <crypto-special>No</crypto-special>
    <PTShandshake>No</PTShandshake>
    <carddetect>yes</carddetect>
    <newcamd_port>31000</newcamd_port>
    <Seca-PPV>no</Seca-PPV>
    <priority>fifo</priority>
    </device>

    I assume that one of the critical items here is the <BlockC0> command, and thus this only works on NewCS v1.61 and above?

    you would be correct in that assumption as the C0 command was not implemented until the 1.61.

    but whats more to the point if one was needing to use that then personally i would actually use a softcam that does not want to send and receive EMM'S so i would look at MGCAMD because it does not request a single one and as such you can use what ever version of newcs that you wanted.

    But hey thats just me and my thinking of why use a cam that wants this that and the other so i have to be limited to this that and the other and im different i like to think for myself and out of the box.

    i have only quoted what you posted as you did pick on on the presence of the C0 command and that you have pointed out which version of newcs it is in because i have had people ask and told them to read a bit more.

    Thanks for that fantmd666. Now I understand why people recommended using mgcamd. I've heard there are stability issues with the newer versions of NewCS. Excellent explanation.

    I found it wasn't running so great and started falling over (or the card) every 10 mins past the hour last sat arvo. Changed to cccam 2.0.10 and pics after 30 secs but not sure how long this solution would last. Just got a report that someone elses fellover this arvo.

    @fandtm666

    Why is it a problem when you have clients who actually do send and receive EMMs?
    Is is a performance issue or a security issue?

    Cheers

    it is a performance issue , but also when the original post was made it was necessary to block the emm's and emk's because if they got through the card would drop off because at that time they were sending fakes in the stream.

    but at present in auss we can only use aurora and blue/orange sub cards to share and the same would apply for the stability but you still would need one using cccam to keep the cards updated.

    ...or MGCAMD with AU and EMMs enabled. Or am I wrong?

    Can't the sharer just chose who he lets to update his card via the AU option on NewCS 162? Irrespective of the client softcam and its settings...
