Nero 8 installation problems
I am trying to install Nero 8 on a Toshiba L30 XP Basic.
Installs about 90% then comes up with something like "Nero installation Interupted error please re run installation at a later time."
When I do this I get a "Unable to access Shell manager" fault and then it continues to load ending up with the interuption error again.
Have searched google without success. Have turned Auto updates off and run the clean tool several times.
Anyone had a similar problem?

7 woudn't load either had to retrograde back to 6.
Uninstall correctly.
Have a look at the Nero web site for a file to un-install the old versions. I know there's at least one un-install download on the site. One of the versions can cause all sorts of problems if the previous copy isn't removed with Nero's uninstall program.Originally Posted by dogsbreath

Slight OT but have you tried InfraRecorder () - great burning software, small and free..... I know it is not Nero but I have found it to be very functional without the bloat that Nero has become......

What OS are you trying to do the install on ????
When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all
go into the registry and delete all previous installed nero...and yes nero 8 is hard to get a copy that installs properly
