    Default linking internal webpages

Hi thank you for looking at my post. I am currently trying to find the answer on how to link a menu bar title to another page of my site. but the catch is i only want the link to change part of the page as the layout will stay the same for every page. i can do the research on how to do this no problems, but i am just not sure on what it is called. if you are not sure on what i mean a website i know that has it is .

If you click on a menu title it loads just that section, it does not reload the entire page.

If anyone has a tutorial they know of on how to do this will be much appreciated otherwise just the correct naming will be fine and i can do the research.

    Thank you
    Matt

    thats a flash site
you could probly do it with frames, opening other links in centre frame?
why dont you make a template page, then save it as different names, then add text to centre of each. thats wat i do anyway.

    I agree with Phil.
You don't want to learn flash - too hard.
You also don't want to use frames - too many errors loading your page
You can use an iframe if you want, but that can not load on some peoples computers too.

Best bet is to make one page with the menu at the top and make a table with your content cell in the middle. Then change the content of the cell, leaving the menu the same and save it as a different name. Then you have two pages that look the same but with different content in the main frame.

here is an example I am working on currently, its not finished but you can see how it works:

Default the best way to do it

    hey,

the best way to acheive the noosa result without mastering flash would be to use AJAX or Asyncronous Java And XML. this will dynamically pull fresh information into a DIV container without reloading the page.

there's a great example on dynamicdrive.com. i think you can find it if you type "AJAX PORSCHE" into google (the ajax example has cars on it).

if you're stuck i'd be happy to help you get started.
