    Default Fuel/aair data logging

Anyone have any experience with on-board fuel/air data logging?

I'm keen to attain stochimetric nirvana across the rev range with the new carb/manifold setup I've built on my trike, but balancing a laptop while negotiating traffic on the freeway at anywhere up to 150 kays per is too insane even for me. I've looked at few units from Tech Edge and the like but would like some first hand input before I start blowing big bucks...

Yeah id have to agree with throwing it onto a dyno, you can replicate any road speed on one without the dangers.

Then you dont need to balance the lappy.

Save the big bucks for more chrome Don.

Oh and remember a touch rich is good for the engine and your pocket.

Maybe fit a O2 sensor and one of these toys so you can always monitor it.

But a proper setup should be done on a dyno, then fine tuned on a track (cough) street because a dyno can never truly replicate drivability.

Yeah, thought about a dyno but I like to play around reprogramming my ignition curves as well so I'd prefer to be able do it at home rather than having to rely on booking in on a dyno.

Besides it doesn't fit on a bike dyno and most of the car dyno operators don't wanna know anything about bikes.

@ Godzilla - Thats what I was asking about - a decent sensor/controller setup like but with onboard logging

And I'm pretty much over chrome these days - it's flat black, brushed alloy and scotchbrited stainless for me

Any onboard logging ive and the boys have played with is all done via lappy for cars.

    One question Don.
How will you know if your advance is too far and detonating?

Some dynos can check for detonation with sensors while playing with the timing.

Dont want to preach to you, im pretty sure you know your stuff but you are aware that they can read rear wheel hp while moving your timing settings around to determin the ideal advance curve for the dizzy advance bloke to replicate.

Anyway back to your question. Yes there are setups that can log.

    Heres some more details.

Christ i just ebay'ed "digital air fuel" saw the prices of LM1 and crapped myself.

    Dont even think about LM2....
