Hello All,
I知 wondering if anyone knows where I can buy mounting rivets and clips for chrome trims around the front and rear windows. I知 currently restoring a Rx3 and in the process of cutting some rust out have lost about 4 around the front window.
Any help is much apreciated.
thanks

Try any wreaker thats got a Mazda around that era. They should be much the same.
Wow rx3 hey? Coupe? Nice when done right.
Mate motor traders are an adelaide based company that deal with the crash industry, you must have something the same in your state ask a local crash shop where they get their parts or supplys from, if remember right the pins that the clips clip to are spot welded in, can be brought new.

This mob are in Dandy and Preston - Along with any sort of paint they sell body trimming stuff including rivets and clips.
PS: If not take a trip to a DIY wreckers and for the $1.00 entry fee fill your pockets with clips.
95% of my HZ 1 tonner has had all it's NOS parts sourced from eBay. Rubbers, Clips, Panel bolts, everything.
Try searching for NOS (New Old Stock) suppliers, sometimes found in the magazines etc.
They have lots of nice toys I always end up with more than I intended. Other than body trim strips they have a lot of trays with all sorts of body clips. Not sure if they will have what you want but worth a try. My knowledge is of the Dandy store I guess Preston is the same.
Trivia time the astronaut in the picture on the wall at Dandy is a relative to the old guy that owns the place and works there.
motortraders are called coventrys in other states.
Try Mazda Spare Parts Department,
Take your Cars Information, Like:
Make & Model Number:
Built Date:
Chassis Number:
Trim Number:
Engine Number:
etc....
& a picture or sample of the part you want
Usually parts are able to be ordered, but may have to come from Japan or something, (may take a few weeks to get it)
If they give you a not available story,
there are also Mazda Specialist Wreckers too (look Yellow Pages),
& Most Wreckers now have an online network to ask for hard to get parts,
Also, try a windscreen fitting Place like Windscreens Obrien,
failing that too, as a last resort, a tube of silastic will stick most things in place
P.S the rivets, (if not special ones) may be just a local hardware item.
