Friggen hell dude He ask for comments on his site "How do you rate this site?" i did rate the way the site looks for me i was honest iam not going to tell him bullshit to make him feel good, how is that going to help him improve his site. if you want to brown nose your way to his heart thats your choice, don't put my comments down because they don't suit you, maybe you like pink websites i don't the colour is wrong for it.
Tagg
ps don't forget to check my spelling and gramma
hey Phill what gf must be a bug, unless you've been talking to myspace Annah who sends long poems that make no sense except that shes in Nigeria and needs money to get back to USA. I can hook you up if you want to loose some money
Site looks fine to me, we may be the wrong critics though, I'm guessing it's aimed at women (I don't want to generalise but I don't know any blokes that surf wedding sites) so the pink overtones isn't a problem.
I use Firefox and the site looks good.
I think that many people know of eBay and to a lesser-extent, on-line phaarmacies etc., but I don't know if many people would think to check the internet for wedding stuff. I probably wouldn't.
Everyone I know still uses personal recommendation, yellow pages etc. for wedding arrangements and gifts.
The problem is to get the site promoted.
I did a google for "wedding gifts" and didn't find your site in the first 50 hits, but there are 150,000 odd though.
This link has a few hints on steps needed to make a website "google aware"
Perhaps you might try to come to a reciprocal arrangement with photographers, reception venues and the like to provide links to your site.
here are some changes I'd make.
Header is too big, as mentioned before.
Lots of categories with one product, can you reduce the number of categories, because it seems like I have to go through 10 categories to see 20 products.
Looks very busy, is all that flash necessary?
The heading "256 bit security..." is off putting. Make it a general heading about the site, like "the best wedding products at the cheapest prices" or whatever. The thawte and banking logos are enough to let people know it is secure.
If you put your privacy etc links horizontally into your footer and re organize your google ads horizontally, combined with a smaller header, you may remove the 'fold line' from your site.
looks ok but the spinning pictures make you dizzy as they run to fast and when the mouse hovers over them to give its description they still move
Thanks again for the new comments people... Taking a lot on board. Some good suggestion in there, cheers
