DL SUper Smash Bros Brawl Problem

Hi there,
Hoping to get some advice re a DL copy of Super Smash Bros Brawl.

I have just had my brand new Wii modded with a d2pro ve chip. The console has never played a game prior to moodding.

I have tested a few games and all are ok. I tested a DL copy of Super Smash Bros Brawl and I get a disc read error message after the game title screen.

I have a SL copy of the same game and its fine.

Any idea what the problem could be?

The problem is the dual layer version. There is lots of posts about the issue on the forums out there.

You have to use +r dl not -r dl & set the layer break to 2084960

Ok I've done some reading on various forums about this issue. The DL problem is happening for some and not others. But some are also saying that a system update wull allow the lens to read DL correctly. Will this stuff my mod?

No it wont as long as you use the correct system update for your region. You might also want to download the resource disk version 1.7 and make sure your d2pro has the latest firmware and that the system update is locked to the region of the console.
