    Why bother with selectv?
S**t, after the goldies died, and before selectv came out, we were all crying how we would be getting ripped off with a legit sub.

Now we have a sellers card to hack select?

Watch Select go under, the other providers tighten their encrypition, and everyone start crying again.

Isnt austar enough for those channels compared to selectv? Why would you bother to buy a sellers select card?

Someone was saying that It was a scam by Austar and Foxtel to get rid of Select and UBI anyways, might be some truth in the matter, who knows

the reason ppl bother with s3lect is because of the ethnic channels. Italian, greek etc..

Not so much the English channels thats why they did my5at as well.

think about it, theres a market for ethnic channels out there

Agree, danger for a newish company like SelecTV, we don't need this to go down - the other two current primary providers (Oxtel/Cropstar), perhaps one day as a single business unit mebbe - do *need* competition, even if it is gentle, like SelecTV.

Be a terrible shame to lose a provider with the business model they have, and which can work given a level playing field of sorts; - owner equipment option, no contracts, reasonably priced english package subs, the ability to 'suspend' service via MySelecTV for $5/month (holidays etc). I hope like mad they can ride this out. I have a Selec sub, come hell or high water - it stays, my personal effort to help the underdog. Lose it, and we will never get the same kind of open market model again.

All this on a global slowing of trade and commerce, even China now in the news with economic loss impact, raising interest rates, each means reduced 'demand'.

I appeal to all people who read this.LEAVE SELECTTV alone. Don't byuy any cards. You have the 2 big ones to play with.
