DM 500s SETTING UP for C1?????

Jee Zus!
Hi everyone.
Just got a DM 500s last week, and have set it up to RX optus C1 ok... It RX's perfectly, even the epg's are shown... just a black screen on the various channels.
the "tune channel" video is ok though

I have a geniune card, and am bloody confused in how to get the card slot to "see" my aur***a card.

There are that many different images/cam soft/ etc etc etc... it is all so darn confusing.

My Dream 500s has gemini project image.

I can communicate 100% with the Lan setup, and my laptop does not have an "old serial" port on it. So, serial port data tx is out of the question.

what I want to know, is how the hell can I get my receiver working on Aur***a.

I have read a shit load of forums, and indeed am confused....

I realise I need suitable cam software, and have seen this everywhere, however, where does the key/config etc files go exactly in the receiver?

All my hair has almost been pulled out, and in the interests of not wanting to be bald, I would sure appreciate some help/guidance.

go to blue panel/addons/download and install/

select cams and install cccam2.04 and config file as well

after install blue panel then select cccam 2.04 and restart cam

card in slot must have pads looking down and away from you.

tried to upload the image to the box, but was told that it is to large for flash... wish I got a new receiver without having to work all this stuff out...

as you are using network upload you need this image

and flashwizard to upload with

OK, I set up for serial cable data transfer, dumped the pli image onto the dm500...it is not set up for c1 as stated.... UNLESS I have got to follow a procedure to get it all working... it does not see the sig now from C1, so even the LNB L.O freq must be incorrect...supposedly 10.7 Ghz (as is my lnb), but no sig at all.... at least I rx'ed a sig before I changed to this supposedly "working" image...please help.

You will need to set the HI to 10700, not the LO. The LO is only used in the event of a universal LNB where you would use 9750 and 10600 for example.

i just loaded the flashwizrad image and it fired up straight away

if you click the images it will open and you will see the screen shot not just a black square as the thumb nails are showing

sorry Cwispy, I meant Local Osc, not output as in HO LO and Threshold

I realise that the HI setting should be 10.700Ghz

can I have a copy of the FLASWIZARD image please?, because I cannot get it via that link you included above.... I would really appreciate it... I can use Flashwizard now I guess, because I got the serial transfer working on an old PC, and overwrote the Gemini Image.... but this PLI aint playing ball, so I would really like to try overwriting with the FW image that you have, and I cannot download.

Can you explain in better detail what settings you have configured in the dream so far? Do you have C1 listed in the satellites list, have you correctly configured the lnb settings, have you dont a satellite scan, do you have a diseqc etc. So far you have not really given a lot of details about what you have or what you have done, so most people are guessing at your issue.

I have just finished uploading the image that is mentioned above, and.......
IT IS WORKING!!! thanks for your help guys.

What I now have to do though, is find out why I have 0 volts on the lnb/feedline I/O...must have zapped the supply rail when doing the upload.

using the o/put from a humax 5410z to get a sig from the satellite.

any pointers with the voltage prob?

Good to hear you have it working to a point.

If you have checked the sat configuration lnb settings and the voltage is showing as H/V then it does indeed sound like something has died in the unit.
