    Default Prepaid wireless net

    Any one using a prepaid wireless at all?Want a bit of info on what your using,dont want to go on a contract as ill only need it for a few weeks,theses hot spots are killing my wallet.

    looks like 3 internet key is the go for cheep and no plans

    If using 3 just be careful to set it up to only operate in the 3G area or they will sting very very hard for down loads.

    Yes it can be good I think it's a great idea for Christmas gifts.

    I suppose you realize that you need to purchase a wireless modem?
    They cost around the $150 Mark.
    Plus I think that modem is only useful for the Provider that provided it.
    They all look the same but.
    I guess it just a matter of having the software that installs it will make it run on other Providers.

    I'm using a 24 month contract with "three".
    Don't ever believe it is as quick as cable.
    When you connect to the internet during times when most people use the internet, it is painfully slow.
    I sometimes wanna smash the bloody thing.

    My son had optus wireless and gave up after 2 weeks.
    Just too slow.
    They give a 30 day trial and you can get out if your not happy

    The 3 modems (internet key )are $129 which is the cheapest out of all the providers for pre-paid.

    i am on a optus wireless prepaid setup while on the move its $40 a month and i get 2 gig download bit dear but i know i am not going to get a nasty bill for going over so far with daily use and a bit of downloading some tomtom maps it is quite good optus coverage is fair in most places was also on telstra next g wireless but that was great coverage but very pricey with $89 for 1 gig

    Can anyone tell me how long the prepaid last for like when does it expire before you need to recharge your account ??

    I just got 3 today Pre-paid, all of there recharges last 30 days BUT
    the $150 for 12 gig lasts for 1 year

    The modem cost me $129 and it gave me 100 mb free download LOL

    30 days isn't much I wanted something that would last atleast 6 months I just want it for sometimes and occasional use when I'm out and about 1 or 2 gig would of been good if it lasted 6 months

    I am impressed so far with 3 but this is at midnight have to test her out at
    6:00 at night when the system is a bit more busy.
