Every month I have to ring Austar to update my Card, why?

I am using my 7000s with PLi Helenite image on it. But once a month my screen freezes.I thenhave to put my card in the original Austar Box,call Austar we go through a process to 'update' the card. (I get a e30 or e16 message when putting it into Austar box),once they update the card I then have to place it back into my Dream.Can someone tell me why this happens?
I never had to do this process previously, mind you this time I have a multiroom package.

it all comes down to the cam you are using
I dont know about au$tar - but CCcam205 works for fuxtel
so does newcs/evocamd combo - but cccam is better
have a look and see if emm are getting through to your card

I am using newcamd-6.10d. I have found that no other CAM works for me for some reason. What do you mean "have a look and see if emm are getting through to your card"?

If you phone Austar ever month, they will end up getting suspicious of you.

If you put the card in the orig decoder & WAIT 4 hours (or overnight) the card will get the key update & fix it's self without ringing Austar.

As for other cams not working.... I suppose you have edited the associated config files (different ones for different EMU's) & uploaded them back to the box?

As nfnovice said try CCcam 2.05 in fact if you upgrade from Helenite to Iolite and use it with CCcam 2.05 your problems should go away.

Nah I just say it's the box in our bedroom which is always switched off.What does it matter if they get suspicous anyway? What I am doing is not illegal?I am a paying customer, and only get the channels to which I subscribe to.All I am doing is recording them which is really the reason I purchased the dreambox. Have I missed something?

Hmmm now edited the associated config files,no I have not editted the config files.Obiovously from what you are saying is that I must do this in order to use other EMU's?

try out CCcam205 - it is server and client in one package
the config file is reasonably straightforward to make changes
I dont know how much telnet (or putty) you do to your box - but I find that the best way to "debug" any cam you load..

I don't know if it's technically illegal without the recently signed 'free trade agreements' signed up to by the Howard goverment being tested before a court of law, but at any extent it is 'breach of contract' that you agreed to & signed.

I think you will fine the server you are using is stuffing the HSN EMMs. the Prov EMMs will be ok as you keep pics for 1-2 weeks.

I think the very latest version of CCcam is working ok now. But the 2.0.0 and 2.0.4 did not.
