media pc

Hi all,
I was a bit bored this morning so started to rumage throuhg my spares box, found some PC parts and thought I might see if I can put a media PC together to stick under the tele

So far I got;
E6300
Nvidia 7950GT
2G OZC DDR-400 or som ballistix DDR-800
Asrock mobo (7.1 surrond on it)
550W antec PSU
lots of hd's around

guess I'm looking for suggestions on what the best tv card setup is, I'm after digital but I guess HD isn't necessary considering the other parts.

any thoughts?

Which tuner is a tricky question that there are many opinions on and they are all based on an number of variables. The most stable ones I've used so far were two Huappage PVR150MCE analogue tuners, some people complain about the digital ones and some just work for people. Another suggestion is to work out what OS and display applications you want to try.

thanks that gives me some place to start to look. As for os, I had not given it much thought (most likey XP or mce). This is really the first time I have given it any thought of building one, so I've got lots to read up on.
