    Default Blank Disc Prices

    Newbie here.

    I went to purchase a DVD+RW Disc.
I wish to copy from my DVD Recorder Hard Disk onto a blank DVD and then place it into my Computer and copy from there onto my Computer Hard Disk.

I couldn't buy just one disc.
    The best I could do was buy 10 DVD+R for $6 or 10 DVD+RW for $10
Seeing as how one of 'em can be used up to 1000 times, why do they sell them in packets of 10 or 25 or 50?
And how come rewriteables cost very little more than the price as recordables

    Who cares?

I remember when a video tape cost $30 each. Back then you chose very carefully what you wanted to record, and if you took all the ads out while you recorded it you could fit 2 movies onto a 3 hour tape and thus, save yourself $30.

60 cents for a disc is not a lot of money. If you look a bit harder you can buy them for as little as 30 cents each.

    I couldn't get one disc.
I had to buy a whole packet.
    Therefore it cost me $10.
I don't have any use for the other 9 discs unless my one gets my fist through it.
And with the bullshit of finding and downloading a VOB Player and then it plays too slow with terrible audio , I'm NOT HAPPY JAN

You will find the price for one disc is pretty much the same as what you just paid Moeee. The only place I have seen them sold as a single is in the supermarket.

Yeah they sell single discs in Coles for around $10.

Still if you buy a pack of 10 at least you'll have spares?? Just in case.

I find re-writeables very slow and unreliable.

In my PANASONIC DVB-T/HDD-PVR/DVD machine the re-writeable TDK discs have dropouts after 15 or 20 re-writes. DVD-RAM discs are even slower but never get a byte error after many uses.
