What OS are you trying to put on to it ????
I was under the impression that you used winexplorer 5.4 and send a transport code command that should open it up so you can put a OS on it
But hey that's my impression only LOL
How do you program a AT88SC0204C-PU
I've soldered it to a old wafer board but it doesn’t have a RST line(RESET), so how do I go about programming it?
Adobe.

When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all
I can't get the ATR it fails on reset
Adobe
Well from what I've been told the panda loader will load a blank card with the correct file if it has the right ATR. I couldn't source a card so I purchased some blank chips and have soldered then on to a old wafer
Adobe.
NO I don't have the file so don't ask)
I think you will find that 2kb is not much memory mate

pin 2 may do what you want
pin 2 is N/c in the Pdip package?
The AT88SC0204C does not support the synchronous answer-to-reset sequence
now im not big on reading , but its seems in the plastic packaging chips the rst goes high on power up, have you tried the have software read the chip on pwr up? not sure how your going to get the timing right if at all this will work?
this is in the pdf
The synchronous mode is the default after powering up VCC due to the internal pull-up on RST. For embedded applications using CryptoMemory in standard plastic packages, this is the only communication protocol.
• Power-up VCC, RST goes high also.
• After stable VCC, CLK-SCL and I/O-SDA may be driven.
But this chip isn't a cpu - it's just a cryptomemory chip.
So you might work out how to upload the data to it, but without a cpu it can't do anything...
So please explain to me the point of all of this.
