    Default 2 lnb`s on one ku dish c1+pas8

    is it posible to have one ku dish and 2 lnbs (two cables coming down to 2 x decoders or use a diseqc to switch lnbs to one decoder)

    so having it pointing at sat C1 but align the send lnb`s to get C1+PAS8

    hhhmm not a very well laid out question......

    simply can i have one KU (fixed) dish + 2 lnb`s and get both C1 and PAs 8 (foxtel+selectv) ?

    yup. I had a play with this in a 65cm Hills that Austar used. You can then run 2 leads down - one to your select box and the other to your C1 box or run the lnb's into a diseqc switch and use one box with both sats.

    yes but you need a 90cm or bigger or you will get bad rain fade.
    I use a 1.2 and have a 3 way lnb holder for D1 C1 Pas8

    would it be feasable to point the dish half way between C1 and Pas8 OR do i just point towards C1 (central lnb) and have the pas8 lnb angled and on the side to pick up pas8?

    G'Day Cobber,
    It's the same sort of setup as the Toroidal. Aim between the two, but with a crossover of LNBs.
    Looking into the dish, PAS8 LNB on the right and C1 on the left.
    Don't forget to chop any trees down in the way or a different location.

    Yes, easy. I fitted the LNB to the centre, Got D1,Tightened everything up, put the triple LNB holder on,now looking at the dish,INS 8 is the left and C1 on the right of the centre.4 and 6 degrees of the centre.Getting 88% quality on both on a 65 cm in Sydney.When I find the pic I'll post it.Oh 'I forgot, take the centre LNB out.

    Has anyone tried IS8 at the focal point and offset the D2 LNB to the left on a 65cm dish?

    You can have it on either direction , as long as you know what are you doing.

    G'Day Cobber,
    You really are stretching the friendship with a 65 cm Dish.
    That's a 14 degree spread and I would give you two chances, Buckley's and none.

    fandt just told me in another conversation.

    When you have the dish on C1, the PAS8 LNB is 10cm to the left and 5cm higher. I'm sure he will add detail to this.

    I think he has this working on a 65cm too (not 100% tho)

    Well, just got inside from mucking around with my 65 cm "test dish" and was able to get it to work no problems. Assuming the LNB quality was 99-100% on the box whwn pointed with a single LNB,then when it was optimised with both, I averaged 70-75% quality on both D2 and IS8 (with signal lock/cutout for this receiver being 35%). So it can be done!

    Foxtel 65cm dish, centred on C1;
    * Using steel magic mount
    * Optus D2, Full quality Globecast.
    * Optus C1, Full quality all transponders, though 12407 is the weakest of all TP's from any sat, but is still 3/4 quality.
    * IS 8, Full quality all AUS transponders.

    ** On this install, the D2 LNB is 'forward' towards the dish parabol using the 'odd piece', and partially blocks a small portion of the C1 LNB, with bugger all loss effect.

    ** Single 10700LO out LNB's used. They do not touch.
