Default Need Advice/Help - LED lamps

    Hi All,

just wondering, I have purchased LED bulbs from DSE, for the indicators on my 1982 Toyota Corona wagon - have tried them out but the flasher unit wont pull in to light them up.

My question is, what do i need to do as a modification to the flasher unit in order to get them to work?

The flasher unit is the current sensing type - (detects when you have blown a bulb) - have also tried the electronic type (trident brand) and still no go.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice given.

    Cheers
    Hannible.

You need an electronic no load flasher unit to run LED's, also known as a LED indicator relay.

The standard ones wont do the job.

if you are driving a 1982 POS, then keep it standard. Save your money and one day you might be able to affors a 2002 model car.
If you keep on wasting money on stupid ideas like putting LED indicators on your POS then you will only ever end up driving junk like this.
