Default Windows Live and Voip with Vista

    Hello,

My GF now resides OS, we are trying to find a cheap way to talk..were both pc literate..so we set up Skype at first and then Windows Live Messenger using PC's and Mic's.

Its annoying having to be in front of the PC to talk...so we are looking at several options and am hoping for some advice.

    MSN Cordless PH -
There are a few of these out but mostly for Skype, I cant find a single one for MSN that works with Vista, both the popular Phillips and Uniden only work with XP, I would love to find one that has a qwerty keyboard and works with Vista?

Nokia PH's with Skype Installed -
I already have a new and expensive Nokia, it has wireless and I think it supports skype..it supports Windows Live but not for voice calls...so if I installed Skype and let it connect to my wireless router then its free and cordless on this end, but my GF does not have that good a mobile and would need to buy it plus a wireless router

Third Party Voip Router / Modem -
I dont know a lot about this but I assume if we both get the same Voip router we can plug our standard cordless ph's into it...only problem is I need a new cordless ph anyhow..hence why I wanted to go the first option.

    Thanks in advance

So does that mean so long as we both have the same voip/router/modem box that is all we need..just plug cordless straight in?
It doesnt matter that she is over there?

don't even need the same one.
    try mynetfone.com.au
buy a couple of cheap ata(voip) adapters( most of these are firmware locked to mynetfone) but can usually be unlocked if needed.
These usually come pre configured, so all you do is plug them into a broadband connected modem/router and plug your cordless in and reap the savings.
    mynetfone to mynetfone is free.
