C1 signal drop - anyone else ?

My DM500S has been purring along nicely for the last few weeks.... using a 2 year old old f0xtel dish and LNB that was on the roof. No programmer, no special cards - vanilla setup.
Last night most TP's dropped to 60% signal - I was getting 90+%. Same when I got home tonight.
Haven't got up on the roof yet... but everything looks okay from the ground and there's nothing special happening with the weather. No rain in 5 days... no extreme temps.
The LNB settings are normal - all 10700. H/V. 24kHz.
Can't get a lock. Any suggestions ?

where did you buy the box from vb? sounds like a similar problem i have.
do you find that it cant lock the signal at all?
I bought the box from a seller on this forum... and the customer service/ordering process was great. No complaints here.
I haven't contacted the seller because I don't think it's the dreambox at fault.
As mentioned - the box has been working fine for 2 weeks with full lock no problems, pixelation or stutter. I'm still trying to suss it out and will post results.
I'll flash her again in the morning after backing up and see what happens.
I'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong on the roof.

Update:
I've reflashed with pli iolite - no difference.
Tried REL 108 from official dreambox site - still 59-60% signal.
Starting to think it may be the box.

Do you have another box to plug in and check the signal to make sure its not a dish/lnb problem ?
Unfortunately not Sanity. I think i'll have to 'phone a friend' and borrow one.
Would love to own a Unaohm - but out of the budget atm!

hmm I've seen a big drop in c1's signal levels too on two separate setups, after double checking everything and swapping out hardware, i'm starting to think its not me.
One setup is a 1.8 meter solid prime focus Jonsa with a Twinhan card in a pc, and the other a humax STB fed from a 90cm offset. The twinhan's sensitivity is pathetic, and the humax is at the end of 30 meters of coax, so both were marginal before, but now the twinhan is useless and the humax goes blocky every few minutes in a big way.

I also have noticed a c1 drop
I get 72% signal and 40 to 54% quality on UEC where it should be booming on a 95cm dish. could it be certain tranponder tp freq? on 65cm dish i could not get signal to lock in. I spent whole day swapping and trying hardware and connections on a normal stb for a mate.

my sig str has gone up, from 67% str 99% qual to 70% str 99% qual on 80cm dish. i only noticed this last night while fiddling.
Mine is the same as before.93% strenght and 81%% quality on a 65cm ,11300LNB and a Mediastar box
