re-badged recorders
did some routine maintenance on a few systems through the week, namely Pacom pdr16 LP branded DVRs, I noted the simularity with the Honeywell HDRD Recorder, very simular facsia and the same menus.
I didnt have a crossover cable with me unfortunately does anyone know if the remote software is interchangeable.
Just out of interest..

Don't know about the remote software, however companies as big as Pacom and Honeywell will more than likely be buying from the same Korean distributor, and with the company offering OEM services it wouldn't surprise me at all that they are the same guts. I was looking into the same company for my own line of Day/Night cameras, but MOQ of 10000 is too big for me

a quick search on google will confirm that these two companies use the same gear, even the RAS PLUS software has the same name.
Pacom re-badge a whole load off stuff, from their stock DVR's to DVTell and Join stuff (well in the past anyway)

For info, the PDR-16LX is also found as a Baxall DVR.

I use to distribute a DVR that was called D-teg. We later stated imorting direct from the manufactured called Pinetron.
You will find the same product manufactured by Pinetron is badged by about 5 Australian wholesalers.
The give away is the control software remaind identical for all.

yes the pacom pdr and ther honeywell are basically the same... you can use the RASPlus software to control both. I am using version 1.9.5 at the moment to control 8 different dvrs including pacom and 1x honeywell.
