Default new arcade machine (1050 games in 1)

I just bought this, it was 1000 dollars.

anyone had any experience with these before? I see it's more than likely just a bare bones PC inside running the 1050in1 games, but for that price it's still fairly decent and looks nice!

It will be fun once you ban the kids from it.

Personally I like the classic wood machines

But for $1000 its not a bad setup.

Just wondering but how do they hookup a regular tv to the cabinets? I thought the Gamma boards required a special tv?

    Think you meant Jamma boards

Yes 90% of genuine Arcade games use a 15K CGA monitor , The games as in this picture are nothing but Mame "emulators" built into Arcade looking cabinets. NOTE: This machine EMULATES genuine arcade games , it is not a genuine arcade game.

The board itself is just a PC mainboard with HDD all put together without a PC case that can be made to interface to anything that a normal PC can connect to , EG: a TV , PC monitor etc .

A genuine arcade machine with only one of those 1050 games will cost you more than $1000.00
Shit I just spent $26,000 for upgrade kits for games that cost $58,000 just over 12 months ago , a huge investment that the chinese will no doubt be working to emulate and pass off as the real thing as soon as possible.
Unfortunately most people dont care or even bother to look for the difference between Real or Rip offs.

Yea I know what a mame system is, I just thought the old genuine arcade machines require a special tv.

Basically if I were to buy a game board off ebay and make a cabinet for it what sort of Tv would I need? Can I use a regular tv something like a 20" + CRT tv as they are dirt cheap.

Another good thing with the Genuine cabinets is you can put them out in the public and make some money, I know of someone on another forum who had the chocolate machines which brought in a standard wage.

Yeah your right genuine arcade machines use a dedicated monitor , You can use a regular 20" TV Tube matched to a universal arcade chassis which accepts the standard 15K CGA input .
There is a big thread that explains it here

You can use a standard TV if you buy a CGA to SVHS converter but they dont look very good.

Dont worry genuine arcade is alive and well , most people would be staggered at the amount of money some machines earn, it's not all sit back and count the money there is a lot of research into the right games and keeping them maintained 100% is very important.

BTW you wouldn't want to put a MAME machine on location earning money , there are a whole heap of legal issues , also all games operated in public in Australia need to be classified , WA has the most strict laws , liquor and gaming are onto unclassified games very quickly.
