what is the special trick to get the irdeto1 emulator working, when i have tried it i can never get it to save the settings.
CVLAIS
what does spidering do anywho
I think the idea is GW can only run 10 clients & if you need more you could connect to a second instance of GW to the first to give you another 10 clients.
Never tried it myself but dont see why it wouldnt work.
Don't worry, it only seems kinky the first time.
You are of course correct.
863 was meant for Humax/newcamd centric networks,
71 was for newcamd/Humax networks.
863 needs a Humax to keep card updated, so spidering was done in the app cause a Humax is a dumb client.
Whereas the Dream should be able to be configured to pass through.
I think the intention was the dream to spider down itself, since it can be configured to do so with newcs and cccam?.
I seem to recall someone using GWM to connect to GW once as well.
Works for me...

OSIRUS (27-05-09)
doesnt work buddy
OSIRUS (27-05-09)
i did i put in a valid hmk and pmk. do you need the pk's ?
I don't see how the ini that z80 has posted can work, there is no where for the Provider ID or HSN.
I have it working here, but my copy of the ini came preloaded with the details already in it, and it doesn't look anything like the one posted above.
Dave
Once again thank you Z80
wasn't the 10 user limit imposed by the tcp limit in windows set to 10?
anyone patched their windows to allow more than 10 tcp connections and tested it?
No, it's a hardcoded limit in greywolf unrelated to Windows tcp/ip.
what about newcs I hear it can only handle 10-30 clients as well , how do the people that sell public iks machines do it? spidering? or simply have alot of cards?
There's no such limit in NewCS, at least not on Linux.
Running on XP or Vista may cripple the number of connections, a limitation you can avoid by using Windows Server 2003 or 2008. For best results I recommend Linux though, eg Ubuntu or Fedora, as Linux TCP/IP stacks have never been artificially in the way Microsoft have their desktops (to force people to buy expensive server versions of Windows for server applications).
I cant see that breaking any rules.Code:[Cards] DefinedCards=1 Card_0=Aurora [Layout] Main_Top=28 Main_Left=33 Main_Height=401 Main_Width=602 CardLog_Top=45 CardLog_Left=1027 CardLog_Height=136 CardLog_Width=238 ClientLog_Top=517 ClientLog_Left=1048 ClientLog_Height=131 ClientLog_Width=216 [Misc] Max_Card_Log_Lines=5 Max_Client_Log_Lines=5 AutoStart=true User_Count=1 [Newcamd_Server] Port=34001 Key=0102030405060708091011121314 LogToFile=true DataTimeout=600 [Clients] ClientCount=0 [Card_Aurora] Name=Aurora Type=IR1EMU LogToFile=false LogFileName= Fixed_Command_Count=8 FC_0_Name=COCO FC_0_Command=0102020300003D FC_0_Reply= FC_1_Name=Ascii Serial FC_1_Command=0102000300003F FC_1_Reply= FC_2_Name=Hex Serail FC_2_Command=0102010300003E FC_2_Reply= FC_3_Name=Provider ID 00 FC_3_Command=0102030300003C FC_3_Reply= FC_4_Name=Provider ID 10 FC_4_Command=0102030301003D FC_4_Reply= FC_5_Name=Provider ID 20 FC_5_Command=0102030302003E FC_5_Reply= FC_6_Name=Provider ID 30 FC_6_Command=0102030303003F FC_6_Reply= FC_7_Name=Config FC_7_Command=01020803000037 FC_7_Reply= HMK=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF PMK=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF PK_0=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF PK_1=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF PK_2=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF PK_3=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF PK_4=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF PK_5=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF PK_6=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF PK_7=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF PK_8=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF PK_9=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF PK_10=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF PK_11=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF PK_12=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF PK_13=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF PK_14=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF PK_15=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF PK_16=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF PK_17=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF FC_0_Mask1=COCO : ~22 3 FC_0_Mask1_Ascii=true FC_0_Mask2=CAID : ~12 2 ~14 2 ~16 2 ~18 2 FC_0_Mask2_Ascii=false FC_1_Mask1=ASN : ~9 10 FC_1_Mask1_Ascii=true FC_1_Mask2= FC_1_Mask2_Ascii=false FC_2_Mask1=HSN : ~21 1 ~22 1 ~23 1 FC_2_Mask1_Ascii=false FC_2_Mask2= FC_2_Mask2_Ascii=false FC_3_Mask1=ProvID 00 : ~10 1 ~11 1 ~12 1 FC_3_Mask1_Ascii=false FC_3_Mask2= FC_3_Mask2_Ascii=false FC_4_Mask1=ProvID 10 : ~10 1 ~11 1 ~12 1 FC_4_Mask1_Ascii=false FC_4_Mask2= FC_4_Mask2_Ascii=false FC_5_Mask1=ProvID 20 : ~10 1 ~11 1 ~12 1 FC_5_Mask1_Ascii=false FC_5_Mask2= FC_5_Mask2_Ascii=false FC_6_Mask1=ProvID 30 : ~10 1 ~11 1 ~12 1 FC_6_Mask1_Ascii=false FC_6_Mask2= FC_6_Mask2_Ascii=false FC_7_Mask1= FC_7_Mask1_Ascii=true FC_7_Mask2= FC_7_Mask2_Ascii=true AutoStart=true Card_CHIDS= [Users] User_Name_0=local User_Password_0=local Start_Card_0=Aurora Sound_File_0= LogToFile_0=false Play_Sound_0=false User_Newcamd_0=true Lock_Start_Card_0=true EMM_Updates_0=true
No valid Details in there.
1. copy and paste into your .ini file (save and close)
2. Run Grewolf, then go to "CARDS" and double click on the "Aurora" Ir1 EMU.
3. Enter a full set of Valid details eg, HMK, PMK, Provid, CoCo, HSN. (or the basic it will update)
4. Click "SAVE"
5. Close Greywolf and Reopen it.
6. Setup a box to connect using newcamd settings. eg. Port/User/Pass/Deskey.....34001 local local 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
All will work.
I hate cryptic shit.

NewCS does have a "user limit" but its like 200-250 i cant remember the exact amount allowed.
but really WHY?
2 or 3 boxes around your home still paying your full subscription is plenty really. If your mates and shit want to share I say fck-em, tell em to get their own between family or something.
Heck I don't remember the last time I watched my sub lol. To many repeats, the kids are always on NickJr. I recon if i could simply have 5 channels for the kids I would do that. Its all shit these days.
