Far Cry 2

Hi all,

Is anyone playing Far cry 2, I recently got the game and I have an issue that after the initial screen loads it goes to a black screen. After numerous Ctrl+alt+ Del I manage to get the game to play. When it does play it works really well, its just that loading problem.

Have googled the problem and alot suggest changing the gamer profile from 1 to 0 or vice a versa, did that with no affect.

Any advice would be appreciated ?

Do you mean download from UBISOFT direct ? If so I have done that already, as well as updated all drivers

No I no-cd patch is a launcher so it dozn't look for a cd. Thats what I have on my farcry2 and it works great,,worth a try..

if not have you reinstalled the game

Update all your drivers, graphics,sound and motherboard drivers !!! it's the first thing to do...

Far Cry 2 is maybe a little repetitive but have some great innovation like growing vegetation, destroy the vegetetation with your bullets and check the sun light between the tree foliage !!! Simply amazing graphics !!! Pyrotechnical effects are simply powerful !!! We really feel free in this big 50 km square map with NO LOADIND !!! He score 9/10 for me !!! I'm very satisfy and i like set fire everywhere Ha Ha Ha !!!.

Hi Bookaroo, did all that, yes I agree the graphics are good but the story line is as lame as. As for ubisoft tech support, I think the word is useless.

Quick update - After researching this heavily I was informed that I should turn off any anti virus software that I was running. I disabled various items in my anti virus and guess what?? IT WORKS

Black screen = causes various, one is turn off anti virus. The other is gamer profile changes.
