    Default LMedit error

    Hi All
I am trying to program a goldie using an Elvis, Multiprog and LMedit. I can load the pic and eeprom files OK but when I try to program the details to the card using LMedit i get the following error message (data interupted check card contacts). I have tried a number of goldies but get the same message on all of them. The cards are new. Am also running XP. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Are you using the following settings,

    1, Phoenix (Mode)
    2. 6 (MHZ)
    3. 1 (or Com port you are using)
    4. GGold (Card Type)

it should then read & write & load etc.....

but I have found that some cards refuse to be read for some reason,

I have a silver card that works perfectly in the STB but will not read in LMedit.

& another Silver card that reads no problems

    Just a thought, Good Luck

Guys thanks for the responses. I now have it working. It appears it was missing an ocx file. Thanks to Guesty for the files.

Well, once I got my MII sorted out that is

Can your share the file with us as this might be why some of us can't get the LMEDIT to work on XP sp2.
    Cheers.

I think this is what you are looking for,

just extract the files & then double click on the runme batch file to install the .ocx files

    hope it solves your problem

One more thing to try, is to place the .ocx files in the folder with the card reader/writer programs,

if the .ocx files are in the same folder as the program you don't have to place them in the System 32 folder & then register them,

    e.g. Place,

    1. Comdlg32.ocx
    2. RICHTX32.OCX
    3. MSCOMCTL.OCX
    4. mscomm32.ocx
    5. tabctl32.ocx

in the same folder as your FMCard & LMedit programs, (& then run the programs from here),

Also, GGedit requires the SaxComm8.ocx file

Also don't forget some cards are copy protected & cannot be read,

Perhaps you are right & LMedit don't work with the Mastera IV programmer, for some other reason (I have not used it)

    Good Luck
