TARBS 3100 problems

I am trying to help a friend who thought he got a bargain on EBAY. He has purchased a TARBS machine. My question is if his dish points to Optus C1 should he pick up any free to air or if he gets an Aurora Card should he be able to get ABC SBS etc.

Or is the box a good doorstopper?

Are the settings fairly similar as programming any satellite reciever.

It works for most of the FTA stuff on D2

Forget about Optus C1 Aurora it wont load any of the channels let alone accept the card its a MDS box Aurora uses Irdeto encryption for there channels

unless it is j-tagged, (can it be done?) it will be a nice foot warmer or doorstop.

You can J-tag till the cows come home, It's still an MDS provider box
