    Default Bloody Phillips TV

hey guys I have a Phillips TV

    Model Number 29PT2252/79R
    Chassis Number LO1.1A

It works, turns on and sound all good with no signal input
BUT as soon as I hook up the A/V to it it turns off in about 5 seconds
I turn it back on and dies again in 5 seconds
But if I turn it on with out the video input just the audio it keeps going

    Any suggestions ?????
Could it be the High voltage tuning caps near the flyback ???

    HELP LOL

One more thing what does the Q7450 (BC857) surface mount transistor
it's up near the fly back side of things ???

    Cheers

Sounds like a logic fault ,when you say no signal do you mean no antenna connected?. I'm not sure if this is the model that has the digital board fault, if it is Philips do the exchange for $154.

Hi B4L, mate, did you forget we're philips agents

    right lets get started
    1. what did it come in for eg no go, screen probs what
    2. what have you done so far

these sets dont have the SSB (small signal board) but could still be software

have you put it into SAM or service mode (on cust RC with tv in standby pres 062596 then "i", now you have to press quickly, all buttons MUST be press no later than 0.75/sec between presses, best to practice hitting the right numbers before trying on set), if so what errors were detected

Q7450 is a shut down switch driven by Q7561 which in turn is driven from the opto circuit which is controlled by 7520 PSU pwm controller

try that lot and we'll go from there!

post results B4L, we'll fix the bugger, philips are FUN!

    7463 bc327
    2455 47uf 63v
