    Default Central Locking

got a 95 camry that has manual central lock (turn key all doors open)

i want to make it remote central lock (stand back press button all doors open)

i ran across this on ebay

    HTML Code:
    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Car-Keyless-Entry-Control-Unit_W0QQitemZ230314690247QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Car_Parts_Accessories?hash=item230314690247&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2|65%3A1|39%3A1|240%3A1318
i recently fitted remote central lock kit to an 88 camry without central lock at all so im no novice wiring/installing from new, actuators/rods and all but i'm wary "tapping" into existing central locking system.

i assume id have to wire the above module up to the existing door actuators or just one?, has anyone had any experience wiring up these or similar?

is there another product that will do the job?

    thanks

    NS

There is a wiring diagram showing that it is wired into all 4 door actuators (or just the drivers should you choose this route).

You will need to splice into your existing wiring, a factory wiring diagram for your car will assist you in identifying the correct colour coded wires.

Easyer to do than than a full central kit, your actuators are allready installed, your just tapping into them.

if there is no motor in the drivers door, you need to install one motor in the drivers door and connect that motor to the central locking kit.
the central locking kit will then act as the manual key to open and close all doors.
if the drivers door has a motor then you will need to tap into the factory harness

    Too easy.

Door lock control switch in centre console, earth on green wire opens, earth on purple/black wire closes.
