    Default scph-70002 burnt laser

    Hi all,

    Some time back i fitted a modbo v4 and diode mod to my scph70002. it was working ok then suddenly it melted the laser lens. does anyone have any ideas.

    Thats why I will not mod the 70002 machines. They are too flaky and do too many strange things. You might want to look for the summOne fix as it includes current limiting.
    What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

    thanks cwispy ive got a scph75002 would the modbo v4 chip work in it, and does the scph75002 need the mod for current limiting

    No the 75002 is fine. It doesnt need any mods. They are a very reliable unit.

    Diode fix is a joke....have been using SomeOne fix for ages....ye occasionaly may get one back but that could be due to bad media,etc, so it definately helps.
