you have to give it to him though, whatever he does he succeeds at. His voice still hasnt changed after all these years and his songs will be around for a long long time. Good on him for choosing a path and sticking to it
Like so many others, I grew up listening to him. And like a lot of people of my generation, I was chuffed to see him and especially to hear him play a few of his old numbers. He hasn't lost it at all.
On the Islam thing: I'm not a fan of organised religion, and I reckon anyone who derides one faith because it's different from theirs is just as deluded as the people they're bagging. Having said that I think CS/YI was always a spiritual kinda guy, so he went looking for answers and it looks like he found what he was looking for in Islam.Good luck to him, I'm always a bit envious when I see people who seem truly at peace with themselves.
I'm just glad he's picked up a guitar again. At least he's not one of these attention-seeking 'celebrity' ****wits that pollute the airwaves and print media these days.
I like his music because it sounds equally good live and impromptu compared to a studio production.
A lot of artists can't achieve that.
He sounded good last night didn't he?
Was impressed with his stand on Muslim extremism at the end of the show.
It was an opinion that will probably ruffle the feathers of many of his Muslim peers.
