    Default Rexel Video no more

Rexel have dropped the cctv part of their business as of today, staff were told not to bother coming back on Monday as there is no jobs to come back too. Apparently the only viable states were SA and WA but the losses in the eastern states have resulted in the closure.

Pacom will be the new Panasonic dealers and indigo vision will be distributed through someone else(can't remember who they said).

I do some delivery work in Perth and had a pickup from them today. Got there at lunchtime and the doors were locked but the staff cars were parked outside. I rang the phone numbers on the front door, no answer. Rang back base and said the bastards are probably at an Xmas lunch and they've wasted my time.
Now I know. What a lousy Xmas the staff will be having

    Unhappy

I guess you can add Rexel Video to the list of companies laying off workers in my post on "Effects of recession on security industry".

    Not good.

Rexel Video are definetly not the last.

I can forsee more going to the wall probably by Feb/Mar next year unless the economy picks up again.

    Tough times ahead.

It was all so sudden that not even the Pacom guys new about it, until the day before. Feel sorry for all the staff that have lost their jobs.

The bigger they fall the harder they fall.

Next year will be a interesting year.

Pricing of goods going up from 10 to 30 percent will affect the industry.

I can already see it. Tenders that I follow up on have been shelved at this time.

    Time will tell.

Goods news for Pacom though. Panasonic and Pelco all under the same roof.

Perhaps the thought that a lot of good people have lost their jobs a few days before christmas would bother some people!

But I guess empathy is not a universal human quality.

Even though I have had little to do with Rexel Video, I certainly feel bad for those who have just lost their jobs as well as their families.

This had nothing to do with the recession.
Bad management pushing a box move mentality killed it

I used to work at Rexel and I agree with the very poor (French) management comment.

so who is selling indigo then in each state?? I walked into das and asked when they were starting the training courses on Indigo after I learnt they were selling panasonic. Was informed they weren't selling it. ( I know Indigo & panasonic aren't related, I just assumed?)

so who is in each state?, I have a tech starting soon with indigo experience and wouldn't mind putting it to use.

    JP,

DAS and Pacific Comms do not have access to Indigo Vision.

It is distributed at wholesale by Integrated Products in NSW as well as authorised partners in each state that can provide local support and supply of product.
For further information, please contact me on 0437 169 195 or t.norton@indigovision.com
