not a problem at all, as a matter of fact there is a few twin charged big block monsters floating around with LPG stickers.

it would be easier to make it a dedicated Gas setup IMO

I myself had a VL turbo on LPG running 13 sec flat 1/4 miles, and that was my daily driver back in the day, very reliable and cheapish to run, but the 30ltr tank needed to be filled up every second day

the only problem I had was the converter, but that was an old system, they have much better technology these days

In Fact Street machine magazine featured a few of these beasts about 15 years ago LPG only, one was a ute running 9 sec quarter miles.

Not a problem Z, just make sure its done by a Pro.

Well they run custom tanks built into and around the car, and most them were either show ponies or drag cars so extended mileage was not so important. Mind you these days the systems have improved dramatically so you would expect a better result.

yeah you don't get far on 30ltrs of Gas, I only got 170-200k's with the mods I had done, when it was stock I was able to get just over 300k's from memory

I'll see if i can dig up a pic of the engine bay

    SHIT YEAH !!!!

You will get what you pay for.....dont tight arse it Zed.

Make sure its dynoed first and after the installation.

Its critical that the air fuel mix is spot on to rich, the biggest fear is leaning out the mix when running boost as it will melt the engine down when pushing its limits. (And we all know how much you enjoy that)

The dyno tune will pickup the air fuel mix right through the whole rev range while under load, just make sure its a little to the rich side for safety.

Many performance boosted cars are running LPG atm, the most limiting factor is getting fuel lines and enough tank outlets to flow the higher correct amount of LPG required for the HP output.

LPG fitters that handle performance cars and custom installs are the go.

The only fear id have is that yours would be a guinea pig and training ground for the installer, make sure he has done many turbo/supercharged LPG installs.

Take your time when shopping for the installer, price is the last thing id be looking at and don't expect it to be too cheap.

I was quoted minimum $8000 for the GTR......we were talking big Kw readings and development work involvement.

On the flip side Zed, i stayed with petrol, it is only a special occasions car and i couldn't justify the install costs, loss of boot space and extra weight in the back upsetting its balance.

@Godzilla- It's already got the vapour injection LPG kit, factory approved.

Was thinking of asking TMR to have a go at it...

    It's my everyday car, a 380GT...

But it just feels so lame going back to 180kw after the other one so wouldn't mind a bit of get up and boogie, never mind the extra brakes etc, just straight line will be fine on him i reckon.

So what you reckon? can be done?

it's got the Sequent 56 LPG kit on it....will that work with a supercharger kit?

The LPG system must be recalibrated to increase the amount of gas in relation to the extra air your pumping in.

If they can recalibrate it, id say go for it.

Im pretty sure a LPG fitter who knows the system shouldnt have a problem getting more fuel in should the lines flow enough gas to suit.

The one thing that puzzles me is will they fit the injectors before the blower?(not in the manifold working under boost and therefore not able to draw the fuel)

It would sort of defeat the purpose of having sequential injection.

Talk to a LPG specalist mate
