    Default Factory recovery partition virus???

Hi, Just wondering if it is possible for a virus to get on a factory(HP drive d) recovery partition. I am using avast and forgot to exclude drive d from scanning! Avast thinks there are lots of files it wants removed or in the chest( can't remember what they were, could'nt move them anyway!) Any thought's on this. Thanks

Avg Antivirus is very popular one, but i prefer Avast myself. Both have a free version and a pro version you can purchase. Have had a couple of things slip by with the free Avg in the past.

The best AV protection are usually the ones you pay for like Kaspersky for example, cracks are another option depending on your morals.

A firewall is also essential, if a virus does manage to slip by, the firewall will block its attempt to open a port and send data.

AVG( up to date) was on the computer that was infected with the virus. Point taken with the firewall. Thanks for your input> Happy new year

    Default avg

I work on computers and tons of people are having problems with AVG not catching viruses. I want to Avast and no more problems.
