    Default infringements

    Dear Netspace Customer,

Netspace has received the attached copyright infringement notice which identifies an IP address that was registered to your account.

Ages ago I down loaded Vuze, and have had no problems. The other day 10/12/2008 I downloaded Stargate.Atlantis.S05E16.Brain.Storm.HDTV.XviD-,

Now my ISP sent me an e-mail infringement in their e-mail, I found “port 58354” so I looked into Vuze and this number is for tcp and upd.

My question is how do I become invisible, do I remove this 58354?
I have tried to get these shows off the net via paying at the source but because we live in Aus it's not allowed. Which is crap! Or do I get rid of my ISP and get Pay telly? OR is Vuze spyware in disguise?

Vuze looks like another form of lime wire etc and easily traceable.Ive been with netspace for 6 odd yrs no infringement but i use private trackers where the files are actually compressed and packaged into rar files thus eliminating the ability of tracking the headers in the torrent so no one apart from the site knows what is actually in it

True that, its all about private trackers these days...they make complete sense as long as you can upload I guess.

But a Private tracker wont always protect you. Its known that the MPAA and RIAA have accounts on a lot of private trackers these days, there are so many out there that they cant get them all but I have heard about people being done on private trackers.

This is definately the case for demonoid too, its known that the RIAA watches them these days, and they regularly have "open days" which means that they are essentially a public tracker.
Coding in C is like sending a 3 year old to do groceries. You gotta tell them exactly what you want or you'll end up with a cupboard full of pop tarts and pancake mix.

I'm a member of Demoniod, have been for years, I have been a member of netspace since 2000.
I have only been using Vuze for three months if I'm Lucky. I believe that having that port open screwed me. This is my first infringement and hopefully my last. I'm going back to bit lord.

demonoid is not a private tracker. There are invites for the site, but the tracker itself is not private, anyone can connect to it.

Demonoid site invites are not worth anything when trading.

Agree, I think with all that is going on (iinet court case etc) newsgroups will be the only way to go.
