Default Downgrading PSP slim ... any tips

    Hey guys,

I have just bought a second hand PSP and it has ofw 4.01 installed.

I have tried to install a custom f/w using msm and total newbies and I have a pandora battery.

I am unable to get it to do anything at all.

I have done some reading and there is a mainboard TA-88v3 ... is there a way around this? Is there a way to tell?

Ya need to find what the PCB numbers are for these two :

    TA-088 V3
    TA-090 V2

    step 1:
To tell if your PSP has a TA-082 motherboard, first turn it around to the back and pop open the UMD door. Look for the edge of green circuit board sticking out above the metal bits that hold the UMD.

    Step 2:
Look at the top right of the green circuit board where the red circle is on the photo. There may or may not be copper-colored lettering there. Look on the right side, but not as far over (where the blue circle is on the photo). There could also be lettering there.

Trust thyself only, and another shall not betray thee.
