Default Xbox 1.0, what bios ?

    Hi,

I have a Xbox 1.0 with a retail 3034 bios. I like to change the fan speed in the bios. Which bios is compatible?

I found a lot of differents, but its a softmodded version, so I think I better stick with the MS versions ?

I found the auto installer iso and there is a ms 5838. Will this be compatible with my version 1? And does it give me fan control ?

    Best regards,
    Gert

    Welcome to Austech,
can i ask why you want to change the fan speed? if your using XBMC,
i think you can change fan speed in the system settings.

Default Fan speed in XBMC OK, but outside (real Xbox) not

Because when the machine startsup in original Microsoft bios the fan speed is too low and the machine gets hot.

When I let XBMC control the speed everything is beautifull silent and no temperature rising.

But playing games, or just accidentily switching the box on without starting to phoenix and xbmc it gets very hot.

    Best regards,
    Gert

I am using a current version of xbmc - can anyone else tell me if they have problems with slow loading of movies etc? For instance when i go to open one, the circle spins for a while in the top right of screen. Previous versions have run quickly. Thanks!
