The frequency used is fairly low,in the Khz range and evidently the power required is not that much

Just to clarify the current topic, in layman's terms by swapping the polarity of the plates (pulse) its possible to assist the removal of the hydrogen by giving the plate time to release the hydrogen as its production is temporarily moved to the opposite polarity plate.

OK boys, you can all continue fighting now.

    OK, my turn,
Been there done that. A retired electronics engineer mate of mine had too much time on his hands, quite a while back, 4, 5 years ago. He built all sorts of configurations big and small. In the end he made up a nice little gas torch but that was about it. Couldn't run a lawnmower.
One of Newtrons laws on thermodynamics or whatever tells you there is no free lunch. Our cars today run on hundreds of killawasps. Someone here mentioned here they were using 3 amps to generate their free fuel, well, 3 amps is about 36 watts worth of extra enery being delivered to the motor, what an increase, a bloke would have to be careful not to get neck strain.
Grandad is right, you put in 3 amps, you get out 3 amps or less. Like I said earlier, 3 amps adds up to 36 watts. What's that going to do if you're car generates hundreds of thousands of watts.
My oldies got sucked into one of these units. They recon it it's saving them heaps. I think they have to say that to justify the $500 the guy charged them to install it. The funniest thing was when I looked at the unit it was dry, there had been a leak in the cannister. Looked like it had been dry for a while.

So, a year on has anyone else experimented with these devices and can share their outcomes?

I've spent some time in the shed doing this. I can tell you what I've learnt thus far...
    • If you think your gas reservoir is small enough to be safe – you’re probably wrong (Ka Pow!)
    • Flash Back Arrestors are your friend.
    • If your using impure plates then expect gunk.
    • If your using an impure electrolyte then you might find yourself cleaning stuff often.
    • An AC PWM running at low frequency is your friend.

Forgot to add: I have no mechanical engineering skills. I have not tried this an a car, lawnmower... Just built a PVC water powered flame thrower... That went bang.

LOL The explosive force of just one bubble of Hydrogen is amazing.

That little pop was a pretty hard and loud bang in real life, much stronger than a fire cracker going off, it had a few neighbors jumping.

I had a lot of fun with those experiments, its all sitting under the garage bench waiting for the next time i crack it at the fuel price rises.

Tried this years ago, thought it worked because I filled car and run till car stopped out of fuel and calculated mpg. Didn't realize terrain made the difference. Proved by using 1 litre fuel with and without hho. Went 12 km with, 13.8 km without. Threw device to sh,,t house.!!!

Never going to happen, chemistry/physics denies it's viability
