my mates 360 started doing this recently ..
Everything basic seems fine (cable etc)... there are no error codes - apart from no pic - everything seems fine.. I will try to find my vga cable to see if that works...
Has anyone come across this? Any ideas?

Its not the switch is it? I had a similar issue on mine and the switch was in the half way position instead of being all the way to HDTV.
What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

Yeh - tried my cable ... and tried the switch too - no go ...

Apparently it was doing weird things (unusual colors etc) - so the kids turned it off... then it wouldn't display picture again

it isnt the tv that the 360 is connected to is it?
eg have you tried this console on another tv.
if the video input is stuffed on the tv it will do that.
yeh - tried other consoles on the tv....
Tv is fine (i have brought my mates 360 to my place to test / fault find) - its definitely something to do with the console - all other parts /aspects tested fine

got my 360 back from microsoft today for 3 red rings repair and within 10 minutes had no picture. the sound is there but no video.
tried new av cable,different tv but still nothing.
i got it back this morning and have to send it back this afternoon.

i have the same problem my cables are in correct and there is no picture.Also my tv is a normal and the sound comes on in the hdtv.
isnt this normally a problem of the HANA chip?
No its related to 3RL, I have fixed this twice now, and even had it on my own box.
